The test will take place on 4 and 5 July
Again Somo beach for the second consecutive year will host another edition (and now they're two ...) Surferucas Festival. The event, organized entirely by the female Cantabrian club "Surferucas" and has the sponsorship of San Miguel, promises to establish itself as the most important event of its kind nationwide.
The test, which open only to females, divided major awards. Thus, the competitors will share a total of € 2,000 in cash prizes in addition to important material.
As for the competition, noted that the 4 categories: Surf Open, U-18 Surf, Longboard and Bodyboard will count towards the National Tour of the English Federation of Surfing. Expected, as was the case in last year, a massive turnout with many prominent and recognized specialists, many of Cantabria, national and European level: Estitxu Extreme (EUK), Mirka and Deva Martin (CNT), Lucia Martino (GAL), Conchi Ring (CNT), among others.
On the other hand, parallel to the competition and throughout the weekend, the organization has developed a series of activities for participants, such as Pilates Workshops (Instructor: Natalia Teston) Physiotherapists (Professional Association of Physiotherapists de Cantabria), Juggling (Malabaracirco), Graffiti (Enrique Cintrano) Hula (Kanaloa), food on the beach, Santa Cruz Test Table and Stand Up's South Point, etc. All enlivened with the best music and Twinning Barbecue and final climax in which participants and the general public may be mixed.
New this year is the figure of the "festival-goers, a new registration form which enables to take part in the follow-up to the competitive edge (you will receive a welcome gift, you can participate in workshops, barbecue, food ...) with a registration fee of only EUR 15. You can book your place via our blog www.surferucas.blogspot.com or directly on the beach.
general Entries can be formalized through the website of the FES: www.fesurf.net until 2 July and priced at 20 EUR, a category, and 30 EUR, to take part two (the maximum participants). As usual condition, it is necessary that the girls are federated in any federation affiliated to the FES (Federation Cantabrian, Asturian, or properly Canaria in the FES). Through the Club Surferucas also can federate on the FES (more information through the blog).
